Jane Earle Wilcox

Jane Edwards Wilcox, 73, of Albany, GA died Friday, September 21, 2018 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Lifespring Church. Rev. Mark Knight will officiate. Interment will follow in Andersonville Nat’l. Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. 

Born in Macon, GA, Mrs. Wilcox had resided in Albany, GA since 1979. She was a home maker and a member of Lifespring Church. She served as the nursery worker at First Assembly of God for over twenty years. Mrs. Wilcox was also a member of the Marine Corps League Auxiliary and an active member of the American Legion Post # 335 in Sylvester, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Eugene Edwards and Harriett Ellen Wagner Edwards, a brother, Frank M. Edwards and a sister, Gladys Ruth Pelosi.

Survivors include her husband GySgt. Carl Wilcox, Jr. USMC (Ret.), Albany, GA, a son Robert Wilcox and his wife Erin, Chattanooga, TN, a daughter, Valerie Ann Barfield and her husband Codey, Albany, GA, a sister, Mary Ellen Effler, Scarborough, ME, a sister-in-law and best friend, Mary Jane Edwards, Macon, GA and two grandchildren, Christy Knowles and Sarah Knowles and a niece that she raised, Danielle Goodwin, Albany, GA.
