James Carl Short

James Carl Short, 69, of Albany, GA, died August 15, 2022 at Tattnall Healthcare Center in Reidsville, GA.  Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 11:00 am at Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.  Rev. Charlie Brown will officiate.

Carl was born in Cedartown, GA on September 22, 1952 to Paul and Evelyn Short.  He moved with his family to Albany, GA in 1959 and resided in Dougherty County all of his life before moving to Reidsville, GA two years ago.  Carl was employed with Flint River Mills for many years before his retirement.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Donald Short, Paul Short and Paulette Duckworth.

Survivors include his brother, Hoyt (Deborah) Short of Sylvester, GA, two sisters, Teresa (Steve) Spencer and Jennie Lou (Charles) Whitlock all of Lee County, GA and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends following the service at Floral Memory Gardens.
