James Melvin Pilgrim

James Melvin Pilgrim, 77, of Albany, GA, died Monday, March 23, 2015 at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Dawson, GA. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate.

Born in Anderson, SC, Mr. Pilgrim had resided in Albany, GA since 1972. He was retired from the clothing manufacturing industry having owned Rentz Apparel. He also served as plant manager at Oxford Apparel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Arthur Pilgrim and Marie McAbee Pilgrim, his wife, Dorothy Wilson Pilgrim and three brothers, Ray Pilgrim, Leroy Pilgrim and Edwin Pilgrim.

Survivors include three sons, Jimmy Pilgrim, Eddie Pilgrim and Chris Pilgrim and his wife Missy Lane Pilgrim all of Albany, GA, a daughter, Rhonda Pilgrim Cravey and her husband, Mike, Lee Co., GA, three sisters, Sara Garner, Williamston, SC, Mary Etta Alford, Belton, SC, Shelby Jean Timms, Anderson, SC and four grandchildren, David Cravey, Steven Cravey, Hannah Pilgrim and Maci Pilgrim.
