James Marvin Paul

James Marvin Paul, 95, of Dawson, GA, formerly Albany, died May 25, 2019 at Willson Hospice House.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.  Mr. Darran Richmond will officiate.  Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Paul was born on June 21, 1923 in Terrell Co., GA to James Benjamin and Coral Lee Paul.  He moved to Albany, GA in 1958 and was employed with Ryder Truck Rental and retired from AAA Cooper in 1988.  He was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church.  Mr. Paul was preceded in death by his wife Sara Julia Paul, a daughter, Betty Ann Pitre, two brothers, Otis Pau and Charlie Frank Paul, a sister Carolyn Smith, and a granddaughter, Sara Ellis.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Jeanette Paul of Albany, GA, two grandchildren, Debra Gilbert and James Lanier and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Tuesday before the service at Mathews Funeral Home.
