James Edwin Moody

James Edwin Moody, 76, of Leesburg, GA, died Wednesday, April 1, 2015 in Lee Co., GA. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday April 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home with military honors to follow. Rev. Mark Spraggins will officiate.

Born in LaGrange, GA, Mr. Moody had resided in Lee Co., GA for the past thirty years. He had served in the Army and was retired from NCR and served as chairman of deacons at Friendship Baptist Church in Lee Co., GA where he was a member. He was preceded in death by his wife Sharon Anita Ellerbe Moody.

Survivors include a son, James (Jamie) Moody and his wife Dana, Springhill, FL, two daughters, Kelley Bass and her husband Jimmy, Newnan, GA, Tracey Moody and her husband (Rick), Marietta, GA, a brother, Walter Wyatt, Monroe, GA, a sister, Judy Knauer, Alabaster, AL and seven grandchildren, Spenser Wilkinson, Rene Jones, Harris Bass, Dallas Moody, Luke Rowell, Alec Rowell and Austin Wilkerson.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at Mathews Funeral Home.
