James T. Letchworth

James T. Letchworth, 88, of Sylvester, GA, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Magnolia Manor – Marion County in the loving arms of his wife, Lavern. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 11:00 am at Riverside Cemetery. Rev. Mark Spraggins will officiate. Born in Greenville FL, to the late George and Leila Letchworth, Mr. Letchworth moved to Albany at the age of 5. He was a cabinet maker by trade, filling many homes in the Albany area with beautiful kitchens and baths, as the owner and operator of Letchworth Kitchen Cabinets for thirty years. Fishing was his favorite hobby. He and Lavern moved to Worth County in 1988 so he could have a pond to fish in as much as he wanted. He was very devoted to his wife and daughters. Survivors include his wife of sixty-nine years, Lavern Letchworth of Sylvester, GA, three daughters, Camille Anderson (Phil) of Cuthbert, GA, Angela Watkins (Gary) of Mauk, GA, and Lisa Cannon (Tommy) of Leesburg, GA, a sister Louise Letchworth Surface of Albany, GA, seven grandchildren, Phillip Anderson Jr., Jamey Anderson, Joel Anderson, Gary Lee Watkins Jr., Holly Wyatt, Nichole Cannon, and Nicholas Cannon, fourteen great-grandchildren, one great- great grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
