James Leroy Kerfoot

James Leroy Kerfoot, 80, of Lee Co., GA, died Sunday, May 10, 2015 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Thundering Springs Cemetery. Minister Frankie James Freeman will officiate.

Born in Eads, Colorado, Mr. Kerfoot had resided in Lee Co., GA for the past forty five years moving from Albany, GA. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Air Force and was retired from AAA Cooper. He was preceded in death by his father, Ezra Craig Kerfoot, his wife Sylvia Faye Storey Kerfoot, a daughter, Sheila Faye Eubanks, a sister, Juanita Fay Kerfoot, two brothers, Ernest Craig Kerfoot and Russell Kerfoot. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a son, Jimmy Kerfoot (Shayne), Lee Co., GA, two daughters, Charlotte Hogan (Rodney), LaGrange, GA, Sherry Way (Jay), Lee Co, GA, his mother, Ruby Ester Sanders Kerfoot, Eads, Colorado, two sisters, Mae Martin Fitzner, Michigan, Yvonne Kerfoot, Colorado, Grandchildren, Preston Hogan, Leesburg, GA, Stephanie Miles, Albany, GA, Lance Hogan, Sylvester, GA, Tasha Golden, Leesburg, GA, Brandy Hogan, Newnan, GA, Brittany Kerfoot, Albany, GA, Kody Kerfoot, and McKenzie Kerfoot both of Kennesaw, GA, Kyle Kerfoot, Leesburg, GA, Kelsey Eubanks, Albany, GA, Hunter Eubanks, Leesburg, GA, great-grandchildren, Laci Hogan, Dylan Deas, Stone Hogan, Eyrn Teneyck, Omanie Miles, Aubree Hogan, Chase Teneyck, Dayne Golden, Davis Golden and Emma Deal.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at 1260 Philema Rd., Leesburg, GA.
