James A. “Jim” Isberg, 75, of Albany, GA, died peacefully on March 30, 2018 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 4th at 11am at the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. Bishop Clifford Dunn will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Jim was a native of Medicine Hat, Alberta Canada and was born on July 23, 1942 to the late William and Elsie Isberg. He was a Technical Service Manager for R.R. Street Co. and moved to Albany, GA from Wheaton, IL. Jim was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Jim was very active in the communities where he lived and was Past Director of the Alberta Quarter Horse Association, Past Director of the Alberta Wild Rose Quarter Horse Journal, member of the Lions International, Past President of the Ft. Macleod Chamber of Commerce and Past Director of Ft. Macleod Rodeo Association. He had over 40 years’ experience in the dry cleaning industry and was the author of “Dry Cleaning 101” which was known as “the answer book – the official industry resource.”
Survivors include his wife, Sharon K. Isberg of Albany, GA, his children, Tim (Oxona) Isberg of Sherwood Park, Canada, Lori Isberg of High River, Alberta, Canada, Chris (Brenda) Isberg of White Lake, MI, Katrina Bergherm of Westmont, IL, Amy (Todd) Balog of Saratoga, NY, Melanie (Pete) Skach of Brookfield, IL and Kimberly Isberg of Murfreesboro, TN, fifteen grandchildren and his brother, Alan (Beverly) Isberg of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. He was predeceased in his death by his brother, Fred (Betty) Isberg of Woodslee, Ontario, Canada.
The family will receive friends from 6pm until 8pm on Tuesday, April 3rd at Mathews Funeral Home.
