James (Jim) Arthur Bryant

James (Jim) Arthur Bryant, 67, of Lee County, GA, died September 13, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Dr. Duane Logsdon will officiate. Interment will follow in the Leesburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour before the funeral at Mathews Funeral Home. A native of Washington, DC, born to the late Charles and Mildred Bryant, Mr. Bryant grew up in Oxon Hill, MD and graduated from Cathedral Latin High School in Washington. He served in the United States Air National Guard and graduated from St. Mary’s College in Lebanon, KY with a Bachelor Degree in Philosophy. Mr. Bryant moved to the Albany, GA area in 1988 from Stafford, VA and was employed with the Marine Corps Logistic Base before retiring in 2007. Survivors include his children, Morgan (Troy) White of Albany, GA and Taylor Bryant (Brooke) of Tifton, GA, three siblings, Nancy Bryant of Bristow, VA, Charles (Carolyn) Bryant, Jr. of Galloway, NJ and Cheryl (John) Curry of Woodbridge, VA and three grandchildren, Aubrie Raine Bryant, Sadie Mayne Bryant and Charlie Anne White.
