James Lee Harper

James Lee Harper, Sr, 68, of Leesburg, GA died Sunday, May 19, 2019 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Paul will officiate. Interment will follow at Paulks Cemetery, Worth Co., GA.

Mr. Harper was born in Leesburg, GA and had been a life-long resident. He was employed with Southeastern Freight Lines for thirty two years. He was of the Christian faith and was preceded in death by his father Leavis Harper and a brother, Kenny E. (Kennybo) Harper.

Survivors include his wife, Sherrie Davis Harper, Leesburg, GA, a son, James Lee Harper, Jr, (Heather), Leesburg, GA, two daughters, Michelle Harper, Worth Co., GA, Jaime Nesbit (Jason), Smithville, GA, his mother Grace Harper Laramore, Leesburg, GA, a step daughter, Amy Gray, Leesburg, GA., GA, a step-son, Rooter Gray (Jamie), Buffalo, KY, five brothers, George Harper (Martha), Albany, GA, Ronnie Harper, MS, Tommy Harper, Leesburg, GA, Dale Laramore (Mandy), Leesburg, GA, four sisters, Pat Rhodes, Albany, GA, Gail Hammack (Ray), Sue Fudge (Greg) and Joyce Downs (Tony) all of Leesburg, GA, eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 P.m. until 8:00 P.M. at Mathews Funeral Home.
