James Vasser Goode

James Vasser Goode, 91, of Bronwood, GA, died December 6, 2014 at Phoebe North Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Bronwood Baptist Church. Rev. Tommy McDonald, Rev. Den Brooks and Rev. Buck Kinney will officiate. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Dawson, GA.

A native of Dawson, GA, Mr. Goode grew up in Bronwood, GA and graduated from Bronwood High School in 1939. He was a farmer all of his adult life and was a member of Bronwood Baptist Church. For fifty years, he served as a Deacon, was Past Chairman of the Deacons and taught Sunday School. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Pitts Goode, his parents, William Wootson Goode and Rebecca Chambless Goode and a sister, Dorothy G. Willingham.

Survivors include his sister, Billie Goode Mosteller of Perry, GA, a niece, Becky Brooks and her husband, Rev. Ken Brooks of Cochran, GA, four nephews, Sammy Willingham and his wife, Nancy of St. Cloud, FL, Bill Willingham of Pelham, GA, David Willingham and his wife, Angie of Camilla, GA and Martin Mosteller and his wife, Donna of Leesburg, GA and a special caregiver, Clemintine Sheddrick of Dawson, GA.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM before the service at Bronwood Baptist Church.
