James Willis Daughtry

James Willis Daughtry, 78, of Albany, GA passed away Friday, February 3, 2017 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Rev. Larry Daughtry, Jr. and Rev. Joe Poitevent, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Born in Albany, GA and a life-long resident, Mr. Daughtry had served in the Navy and was retired from Merck Chemical Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Nathaniel Daughtry and Myrtice Creel and his wife, Frances Deanna Davis Daughtry. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his two daughters, Pamela D. Drew, Albany, GA, Angie Marie Tickle (Lonnie), Tampa, FL, grandchildren, Julia Marie Foote (Ryan), Tampa, FL, Morgan Deanna Drew, Albany, GA and Cpl. James Logan Walker, USMC.
