James Martin Apperson, 83, of Albany, GA died Friday, October 05, 2012 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM at Liberty Parkway Church of God. Rev. W.A. Bingham and Rev. Ralph Horne will officiate. Interment will follow in Oakridge Cemetery, Tifton, GA. Pallbearers will be Tommy Perry, David Aumsbaugh, Charles Albritton, Utah Combs, Mike Carlton and Bob Prince.
A native of Sylvester, GA, Mr. Apperson lived in Albany, GA most of his life and was a salesman with Flint Beverage Company for over thirty years. He attended Liberty Parkway Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma A. Apperson of Albany, GA, a daughter Vickie Apperson Ramey and her husband, Ron of St. Johns, FL, two sons, James Richard Apperson and his wife, Dian of Marysville, CA and Martin Lewis Apperson and his wife, Shan of Leesburg, GA, a brother, David Apperson of Jacksonville, FL, two sisters, Willie Mae Dye of Albany, GA and Florine Youngblood and her husband, Donald of Williston, SC, four grandchildren, Lance Apperson and Lauren Apperson both of Leesburg, GA, Teresa Keasler and her husband Charles of Dunnigan, CA, Victoria Apperson of Glendale, AZ and two great-grandchildren, Tyler Keasler and Cadence Keasler and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 PM until 7:00PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
The family will be at the residence of Martin and Shan Apperson, 101 Hollis Ferry Court, Leesburg, GA 31763.
