James Harold Allen

James Harold Allen, 80, of Albany, GA, died Friday, August 2, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Billy D. Hanna will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of Damascus, GA, Mr. Allen had resided in Albany, GA for the past fifty five years and was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Air Force. He was retired from Darsey Oil Company and loved horseback riding, hunting, fishing and his grandchildren. He was a member of the K & K Sunday School Class at First Free Will Baptist Church where he was a member.

Survivors include his wife, Nell Jenkins Allen, a daughter, Debra Allen Seagroves and her husband, Jon, a sister, Rebecca DuBose all of Albany, GA, three grandchildren, Adam Kerry Seagroves and Samuel Allen Seagroves both of Marietta, GA and Caitlin Adair Seagroves of Americus, GA.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
