Jacquelyn Ruth Marbury Strickland passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2012, at Phoebe North Medical Center in Albany, Georgia.
Ms. Strickland lived most of her life in Atlanta, Georgia, where she raised a family and worked as an office manager for Atlantic Steel and ETL Testing Laboratories. She moved to Leesburg approximately 10 years ago. She enjoyed the slower pace of
South Georgia and made many friends. She was an avid bowler and volunteered for the Sowega Council on Aging during tax season. She worked part-time as a product demonstrator in local area stores.
Ms. Strickland was preceded in death by her parents, Junius Lake Marbury and Elizabeth Eleanor Harling, and her sister Frances Cornelia Dillard.
She is survived by sons John Lawson (Kathy) of Jacksonville, Florida, Kyle Strickland of Shawnee, Oklahoma; grandchildren Andrew Lawson and Russell Lawson (Christy) of Jacksonville, Florida, Allison Turner (Chad) of Atlanta, Georgia; and great-grandson Alex Turner.
Ms. Strickland will be inurned in Atlanta at a date as yet to be determined.
