Jacolyn "Jackie" Higgs

Jacolyn “Jackie” Cain Higgs, 75, formerly of Albany, GA, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019 at her residence in Milledgeville, GA. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March, 19, 2019 at 11:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Jackie was born in Albany, GA to the late Jack and Thelma Cain. She graduated from Mercer University with a bachelor’s degree in sociology. Jackie worked as a case worker with the Department of Family and Children Services for over thirty years. While in Albany she was a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church and more recently a member of Northside Baptist Church in Milledgeville, GA.

In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her husband Phillip Higgs, a brother Denver Cain, and a sister Judy Cain. Survivors include her son Paul Higgs and his wife Karen, two grandchildren Matthew Higgs and Mary Helen Higgs all of Milledgeville, GA, and special cousins and extended family.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
