Jack Lynn Sheffield

Jack Lynn Sheffield, Sr., 71, of Cochran, GA died Saturday, May 21, 2016 at his daughter's home in Lee Co., GA. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bruce English will officiate.

Born in Arlington, GA, Mr. Sheffield had resided in Cochran, GA for the past thirteen years moving from Unadilla, GA. He was a steel fabricator and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Thomas Sheffield, Sr. and Ayers Skelton Sheffield, a wife, Martha A. Herring Sheffield and a daughter, Misty Sheffield.

Survivors include his companion, Burnice Cook, Cochran, GA, two sons, Jack Lynn (Bubba) Sheffield, Jr. (Marti), Albany, GA, Stevie Sheffield, Poulan, GA, a daughter, Lisa Michelle Sheffield (Lisa York Sheffield), a sister, Merrill Sheffield VanDevender, Kerens, WV and four grandchildren, Macy, Morgan, Ashlyn and Peyton.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.

The family is at 131 Autumn Leaf Dr., Leesburg, GA.
