Jack Wilson Brownlee, 79, of Leesburg, GA died Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. A masonic service will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 5:30 p.m.

 

A native of Inglewood, CA., Mr. Brownlee had resided in Leesburg since 1977. Mr. Brownlee was a coach teacher and principal. He loved his profession as a educator and had great joy in helping his former students achieve success. He loved America and the principals for which it was started.

 

Jack was an avid golfer, enjoyed wood work and crafts and loved all outdoor sports. He was an excellent cook. He was a member of the Leesburg Retired Educators and served as President in 2001. Mr. Brownlee was also a member of Keystone Masonic Lodge #102 in Coffeyville, KS, Chehaw Masonic Lodge # 701, Hasan Shrine Center and The Loyal Order of the Moose.

 

Survivors include his wife, Judy Brownlee of Leesburg, GA., a daughter and son-in-law Amy and Tim Elwell of Tallahassee, FL and a granddaughter Elise Elwell of Jacksonville, FL.

 

In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations in memory of Mr. Brownlee to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
