Izell B. Sills, 95, of Leary, Ga passed away peacefully in his sleep at his daughter’s home on Sunday, February 9th. 

Izell “Bee” was born on July 27, 1929 to the late Izell Sills and Daisy Conley Sills. Bee proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1950-1952. 

Bee is survived by his daughter, Renee Cassels, Renee’s 8 children, Mallory, Caleb, Jonah, Titus, and Zion all of Bainbridge, Ga., her son, Morgan (Kalia) of Chatsworth, Ga, her son Gabriel (Jana) and her daughter Caprice (Eddie Moore) of Colquitt. Bee is also survived by his daughter, Deirdre (DeeDee) Stephenson (David), Deirdre’s son, Aaron and daughter, Kiley all of Plains, Ga., and Deirdre’s son, Jared and daughter, Jillian both of Columbus, Ga. He is also survived by his grandsons, Noah Morgan (Katelyn) and Levi Morgan of Atlanta, Ga. In addition to his 2 daughters and 14 grandchildren, Bee also left behind 11 great-grandchildren, Malachi, Lillie, Emily, Kenzlie, Kaden, Zelda, Ariel, William, Caroline, Vivi, and Zayne. 

Bee was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Sadie Sills and his youngest daughter, Meredith Burnsed. Also departing before him were his parents, Izell and Daisy Sills, 2 sisters Trudie Hammack and Frances Hammack, and 3 brothers, Rufus, Raymond, and Tuck Sills, and countless other family members. 

Bee spent his life outdoors. He enjoyed wood working, gardening, and landscaping. He was a hard working man who worked many years for Coca Cola Bottling Company and Firestone Tire Company in Albany. 

Bee was a loving, devoted father, Papa, and husband. 

Arrangements for a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later time.
