Irma Nell Pierce

Irma Nell Pierce, 72, of Albany, GA, died Thursday, September 24, 2015 at PruittHealth Center in Albany, GA. A celebration of life at which the family will receive family and friends will be held Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
Born in Doerun, GA to the late Roy and Marie Harrell Bynum, Ms. Pierce moved to Albany in 1962, she also lived in Stockbridge, GA and Lee Co, GA, before returning to Albany. She spent her life making a home and caring for those she loved. She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Robert (Peter Rabbit) Layfield.
Survivors include her son, James Robert Layfield (Tamara), and daughter, April Denise Moore (Tommy), all of Lee Co, GA, one sister, Becky Kadel, Albany, GA, and four grandchildren.
