Iris E. Hunt

Iris Elda Hunt, 80, of Albany, GA died Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Crisp County Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery. Rev. Kenneth West will officiate.

A native of Pebble Rock, WV, Mrs. Hunt had resided in Albany, GA since 1966 moving from New York. Mrs. Hunt was a homemaker, had formerly been employed with Davis Brothers Cafeteria and was a seamstress with Coats and Clark and Lee County Manufacturing. She was the widow of Leslie Edward Hunt, Sr.

Survivors include her two daughters, Sharon K. Jarvis of Albany, GA and Grace Marie Stallings and her husband, Frank of Denton, TX, a son, Leslie E. Hunt, Jr. of Albany, GA, a brother, Freddy Cavender of Syracuse, NY, two sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Cavender of Cassadaga, NY and Carol Hunt of Cordele, GA, two brothers-in-law, Charles (Hilda) Hunt of Albany, GA and Phillip (Jean) Hunt of Panama City, FL, nine grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
