Iranell Johnson

The funeral service of Iranell Johnson, 75, Albany, GA formerly of Savannah, GA who died Monday May 4, 2011 at Willson Hospice House will be conducted Friday May 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Russell Anglin and Rev. Jerry Willis will officiate. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Monday at Hillcrest Abby East, Savannah, GA.

A native of Garfield, GA, Iranell had lived in Albany for the past three years moving from Savannah, GA, she was employed at the YMCA in Savannah, GA as a day care worker. Iranell was a member of Southside Baptist Church, a member of Morningside Baptist Church in Savannah for many years where she was the Sunday school secretary and was attending Mercedes Baptist Church, Albany, GA. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Herman and Gene Johnson.

Survivors include her brother, Wesley Johnson of Albany, GA, two sisters-in-law, Betty Johnson and Carol Johnson both of Savannah, GA, four nieces and six nephews.

The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time at Mathews Funeral Home.
