David Simpson of Albany, GA died September 25, 2012 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Billy Smith, Rev. Russell Anglin, Rev. Bobby Moye and Rev. Ira Carlisle will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
A native of Cochran, GA, born to Henry and Jimmie Simpson, he had resided in Albany, GA since 1968 moving from Macon, GA. Mr. Simpson was retired from Marshall Aluminum Company and was the former owner of Georgia Aluminum Awning and Screen Company with offices in Macon and Brunswick. He was a Baptist by faith and attended Raleigh White Baptist Church where he was an avid worker.
Survivors include his wife, Annette K. Simpson of Albany, GA, four daughters, Joy Simpson Story and Jane Simpson Johnston both of Macon, GA, Jenny Simpson Henderson and her husband, Marty of Tucker, GA and Lisa Myers and her husband, Tony of Albany, GA, a son, Donald Robert Simpson of Jonesboro, GA, several special grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a sister, Ann Simpson Durden and her husband, James and a brother, T. Whipple Simpson all of Cochran, GA.
The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
