Ira Earldean Pate, Jr

Ira "Earl" Pate, Jr, 63, of Lee County, GA, died July 29, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Jones will officiate. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church in Sycamore, GA.

A native of Ben Hill County, GA, born to the late Ira Earldean Pate, Sr. and Beulah Mae Denham Pate, he had resided in the Albany area since 1958 moving from Ozark, AL. Mr. Pate was retired from the Albany Police Department after twenty years. He was a member of the Living Water Christian Fellowship Church and the Christian Motorcycle Association.

Survivors include cousins and close friends.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Thursday at Mathews Funeral Home.
