Inez G. Duncan

Inez G. Duncan, 99, of Lee County, GA, died May 29, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Pastor Stan Glass will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

A native of Worth County, GA, born to Lonzo and Maude Gray, Mrs. Duncan grew up in Sylvester, GA and moved from Doerun, GA to Albany, GA in 1937. She raised her family in Albany and lived there until moving to Lee County, GA in 1999. She was a member of Life Christian Center International and the Senior Citizens Center in Albany where she had participated with the dancing group.

Survivors include her son, Walter Duncan and his wife, Maria of Dothan, AL and their children Beverly Reyes and her husband Pete of Panama City, FL and Susan Walton (deceased), her daughter, Barbara June Anderson of Lake Seminole, GA and her children, Mark Anderson of Lee County, GA and Pamela Yenney and her husband, Tony of Smyrna, TN, her son, Elzie Duncan of Freeport, FL and his children, Christy Duncan and Zackary Duncan both of Crestview, FL and Sean Duncan of Charlotte, NC, her daughter, Ruby Cowart and her husband, Andy of Lee County, GA and their son, Vac Royal and his wife, Dina of Albany, GA, twelve great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Duncan in 1984 and five sisters and two brothers.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Mathews Funeral Home.
