Hubert Royce (Roy) Swain

Hubert Royce (Roy) Swain, 66, of Albany, GA went to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Keith Rossitter, Pastor Chuck Smith and Rev. Bruce Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Pebble City Cemetery, Sale City, GA.

Roy was born March 14, 1949 in Wilcox Co., GA, to the late Hubert Swain and Eunice Salter Swain. Roy was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the Army. He was retired from Golden Peanut Company and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Lee Co. GA, He loved to fish, but mostly he cherished spending time with friends and family.

Survivors include a daughter, Tonya Swain Rossitter and husband Rev. Keith Rossitter, Camilla, GA, his mother Eunice Salter Swain, Albany, GA, four brothers, Steve Swain and his wife Janice, Satsuma, FL, Rick Swain and companion (Gail Wilson), Blue Ridge, GA, Danny Swain, Joey Swain and his wife Julie, a sister, Mary Lee Moore and husband (Ron) all of Albany, GA, two granddaughters one great-granddaughter, two nieces and six nephews.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Robert Shipes, Jay Shipes, Alan Swain, Ray Swain, Lance Swain and Josh Swain.

Those serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kinsley Swain, Crystal Swain, Amber Rossitter, Emily Rossitter, David Griffin and Brandi Terry.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
