Howard E. Bedenbaugh, Jr., 84, of Albany, GA, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 23, 2018 at 11:00 am at Crown Hill Cemetery. Rev. Chad Ellis will officiate. Howard was born December 28, 1933 in Albany, GA, and had resided here most of his life. Howard earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and a Master’s degree from Central Michigan University. He retired from Mayrand as a pharmaceutical sales representative. Howard was a member of Stonebridge Golf and Country Club. He enjoyed playing golf and supporting the Georgia Bulldogs. Howard is survived by his wife Sue Bedenbaugh, a son Scott Bedenbaugh and his wife JoAnn of Niceville, FL, a daughter Ahlona Bounds and husband Kenny of Winter Park, FL, a sister Marjorie Browning of Navasota, TX, and three grandchildren Dixie Bounds and great grandchildren Christian and Nathan, Amanda Bedenbaugh, and Will Bedenbaugh and his wife Sydney and great grandson Colt, step children Sonya Williams and her husband Keith of Leesburg, GA, Cheryl Oswalt and her husband Jon of Columbus, GA, Grover Johnson and his wife Sandy of Blairsville, GA, step grandchildren Linda Hill, Jamie Farmer and Her husband Brent of Columbus, GA, Jessica Holder and her husband Bryan of Columbus, GA and Christina Schwarztrauber and her husband Jesse of Guam. The family will receive friends on Friday from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at Mathews Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make memorials to The Albany Rescue Mission, 604 N. Monroe Street, Albany, GA 31701 or your favorite local charity.
