Herman (Buddy) Brandt

GySgt Herman Frederick "Buddy" Brandt III, U.S.M.C. (ret), died Thursday, September 22, 2016, at Willson Hospice House.

Funeral Services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 pm. Rev. Jeff Barker will officiate. Military honors will follow. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, GySgt Brandt served his county for 21 years in the U. S. Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by a stepson Dana Goodman.

Survivors include his wife Debra Brandt of Baconton, GA, daughter, Jennifer Couper, Luray, VA, sons, Raymond Brandt, Baconton, Buddy Brandt, IV, Luray, VA, stepchildren, Jason Killingsworth, Gerald Goodman (Ladina), Jerame Goodman (Lisa), Donna Goodman all of Leesburg, Debra Goodman, Tacoma, WA, brother Donald Brandt, Norfolk, VA, a sister, Susan B. Nelson, Jacksonville, NC, brother, Donald Brandt, Norfolk, VA and 18 grandchildren.
