Herbert Kimbrell

Herbert Kimbrell, 82, of Albany died June 20, 2013 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 24, 2013 at 12:00 PM at Andersonville National Cemetery with military honors. Rev. Jerry Deans will officiate.

A native of Ocilla, GA, Mr. Kimbrell resided in Albany, GA most of his adult life moving from Oklahoma. He served in the United States Army during Korea, was a self-employed carpenter and avid golfer. Mr. Kimbrell was preceded in death by his father, his mother and one daughter.

Survivors include his wife, Dawn Kimbrell of Albany, GA, three sisters, Joyce Cooper of Americus, GA, Lou Perkins and her husband, Ralph, of Vidalia, GA and Gladys Ursy, of Americus, GA, four sons, one daughter, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday at Mathews Funeral Home.
