Henry Forrest Wren, Jr

Henry F. Wren, Jr., 73, of Warwick, GA died Friday, January 17, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Norman Denney and Rev. Walter Burke Wren will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Born in Augusta, GA, Mr. Wren had resided in Albany, GA since 1955 and moved to Lake Blackshear in 1999. He was a 1960 graduate of Albany High School, served as the first president of the East Albany Exchange Club and was the sales manager for Pritchett Honda and was president and owner of Wren Mitsubishi. He was a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church.
Mr. Wren was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Forest Wren and Lillian Shirley Wren, his wife, Mary Louise English Wren, four brothers, Paul Wren, James R. Wren, Thomas E. Wren, Kenneth Wren and two sisters, Alberta Wren Freeman and Joyce Earlene Wren Gonzalez.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. David Allen Wren and his wife Vicki, Lee Co., GA, Rev. Walter Burke Wren and his wife Leigh, Pleasant Grove, AL, a daughter, Cindy Wren Joyner and her husband Shannon, Cordele, GA, a sister, Ruby McCoy, Sasser, GA and seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday at Mathews Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
