Henry C. (Hank) Oxley

Henry C. (Hank) Oxley, 63, of Albany, GA, died Saturday, December 17, 2016 at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery with military honors. Pastor Eddie Adams will officiate.

Born in Mason City, Iowa, Mr. Oxley had resided in Albany, GA for the past forty five years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of the American Legion Post # 30 and was retired from MCLB as a project manager.

Daddy was a one of a kind person. He loved his Granddaughter which he called Princess Emma Nickole and she called him her pap-pap. Everything he did revolved around her. He enjoyed playing with her on the floor "play fighting". He also enjoyed watching NFL on Sundays. The Cowboys were his team. He also loved the MLB and his team was the New York Yankees. He said that he did not like NASCAR but he would watch it to aggravate me about my driver, Tony Stewart, was not as good as his driver the seven time champion Jimmie Johnson.

He loved my and my husband's pit bull Fred. He loved my mother with all his heart and would do anything for her even if he did not want to. He loved to travel and really wanted to go to Australia. That was on his bucket list. It’s hard for me to sit here today to say all of this. My Dad and I were two peas in a pod. We would fight like cats and dogs but we would always make up. His Princess Emma now has another angel along with her Uncle Nick watching over her to make sure she is ok. Daddy I love you with all my heart and will never forget you. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rollin Marvin Oxley and Clara Emma Krambeer Oxley and three brothers, Allen Oxley, Mikey Oxley and Marvin Oxley.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Frazier Oxley, Albany, Ga, a daughter, Stephanie Fay Oxley Harper and husband Christopher, Leesburg, GA, , three sisters, Gerene Fitzler (Bob), Mason City, IA, Judy Eldridge (Ron), Arvada, CO., Alma Shafer (David), Mason City, IA, one granddaughter, Princess Emma Nickole Harper.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at 2208 Watergate Ct., Albany, GA, 31707.
