Henry C. Hart

Henry C. Hart, 92, of Albany, GA, died November 27, 2016 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Pastor Dana Swain will officiate. Interment will follow at Floral Memory Gardens.

A native of Sumter County, GA, Mr. Hart grew up in Leslie, GA on the family farm and spent his adult life in Albany, GA. He was a World War II Veteran serving in the United States Army and participated in the invasion of Normandy. During his career, Mr. Hart was a cabinet maker, and both a Fireman and Equipment Supervisor at the Marine Corps Logistic Base in Albany, GA for thirty one years. He was preceded in death by two children, Gordon Hart and Linda Satterfield.

Survivors include his wife of seventy years, Rose Harmon Hart, a son, Charles W. (Chuck) Hart and his wife, Judy and a daughter, Leeann Mccollum and her husband, Mac all of Albany, GA, a brother, Claude Hart of Atlanta, GA, a sister, Jeannette Johns of Homestead, FL, his grandchildren, Tammy Atherton and her husband, Yaqui of Cape Girardeau, MO, Terry Hart and his wife, Allyson and Tracy Hart and his wife, Jamye all of Leesburg, GA, Ike Hart and Keith Rustin and his wife, Jennifer all of Albany, GA, Tonya Satterfield of Cleveland, GA and Kristie Therrien and her husband, Dusty of Cleveland, OH and twelve great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral at Mathews Funeral Home.
