Henry Leonard Casey

Henry Leonard Casey, Jr., 77, of Lee Co., GA, died Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Philema Road Baptist Church. Pastor Dan Harris and Rev. Calvin King will officiate. Interment will follow in Thundering Springs Cemetery.

Born in Albany, GA, Mr. Casey had resided in California for a number of years before returning to Lee Co, GA. He had served in the Navy, worked with Varian Associates in Palo Alto, CA and was retired from Phoebe Putney Hospital. Mr. Casey was the leader of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class and a member of Philema Road Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Margie Lokey Coleman Casey, Lee Co., GA, children, Allan Casey (Jan), Worth Co., GA, Eddie Coleman (Rhonda), Lee Co., GA, Selina Stephenson (Jimmy), Lee Co., GA, Denise Schmidt (Joey), Lee Co., GA, a sister, Yvonne Casey Suggs, Lee Co., GA and grandchildren, Brian Casey (Hannah), Kim Davis (Howell), Matthew Chambers (Sonya), Melissa Griffin (Jason), Brandon Schmidt (Krysten), Leslie Knight (Jodie), Will Schmidt (Maranda), twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The Senior Adult Sunday School Class of Philema Road Baptist Church and the Pickin' and Grinnin' group will be seated as an honorary group.

The family will receive friends Saturday at Philema Road Baptist Church from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
