Helen L. Stage

Helen L. Stage, 91, of Albany, GA passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center in Americus, GA. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Mr. Eben Barnett, III will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery.

Helen was born September 6, 1931 in Warrior, Alabama.  She was one of four children of the late Robert E. and Ruby Jordan Lee.  Helen was a homemaker and proud mother of six children.  She was married to her loving husband, Floyd, for 55 years before he preceded her in death and was preceded in death by sons, Michael Stage, William Larry Johnson, James Douglas Johnson and a grandchild, Matthew Malone.

Survivors include three daughters, Bobbie Wall, Albany, GA, Linda Hooker, Winter Park, FL, Wanda Malone, Sanford, FL, eight grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at Mathews Funeral Home.
