Helen Gertude Brumfield

Helen G. Brumfield, 94, of Lee County, GA, died February 3, 2015 at the Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Helmly will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

A native of Savannah, GA, Mrs. Brumfield lived in Albany, GA most of her adult life and moved to Lee County, GA in 2006. She was a homemaker, the widow of Flemon T. Brumfield and a member of Morningside United Methodist Church. Mrs. Brumfield was preceded in death by her three brothers, Lamar Helmly, Arthur Helmly and J. Helmly and a sister, Evelyn Helmly.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Gene Martin of Lee County, GA, her two grandsons, Jake Martin and his wife, Pam of Brooklyn, NY and Ken Martin of Lee County, GA.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
