Hazelene S. Culwell

Hazelene S. Culwell, 79, of Apopka, FL passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012 of complications from COPD, while staying with her daughter in Leesburg, GA. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Philema Road Baptist Church. Rev. Tom Amburgey and Rev. Dan Harris will officiate. The family will receive friends 10:00 AM with funeral services to follow. She will be laid to rest Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Edgewood Cemetery, Apopka, FL.

Hazelene was born on March 15, 1938 to Jesse and Emma Rigsby in Lawrence County, Kentucky. She retired from the horticultural industry and most recently worked in the seafood department at Walmart. Hazelene was preceded in death by her husband of forty nine years, Eddie Culwell in December 2003 and by all her four sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include her daughters, Bonnie Fox (Jim Butler) of Hopewell, Ohio, Susie Amburgey (Tom) Tom of Leesburg, GA, her son Michael Culwell (Jennifer Gioino) of Mineola, FL, her six grandchildren, Sean, TJ, Kellie, Michala, Jason and Zachary and her nine great-grandchildren, Colton, Trey, David, Kayl, David, Aiden, Ethan, Levi and Lauren.
