Hazel Virginia Ethridge Slagle

Hazel Virginia Ethridge Slagle, 85, of Albany, GA died Monday, October 5, 2015 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of Newton, GA, Mrs. Slagle had resided in Albany, GA for sixty six years. She was retired from Burton Shoes where she served as manager. She was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lewis Slagle.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda Susan Slagle, Angela Slagle Culberson both of Albany, GA, Cindy Merchant Goodman, Tallahassee, FL, a brother, Mack Ethridge, Sylvester, GA, a sister, Brenda Green, Albany, GA, four grandchildren, Jason Lee Culberson, Brian Keith Culberson, Angelo (Kody) Feros, Keri Melissa Merchant, five great-grandchildren, Phoenix Culberson, Quentin Culberson, Liam Culberson, Yuri Culberson and Noah Paul Merchant.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.

The family will be at 2200 Arrowood Drive, Albany, GA.
