Hazel Williams Cleveland

Hazel Williams Cleveland, 96 of Tallahassee, FL, formerly of Albany, died Friday, September 1, 2023 at her home. 

Her graveside service will be 3:00 PM, Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Crown Hill Cemetery.  Rev. Jim Morrow will officiate. 

A native of Clay County, Mrs. Cleveland had lived in Albany most of her life, living the final 10 years in Tallahassee, Florida.  She was a cosmetologist by trade teaching at the Albany School of Beauty Culture and owning and operating Hazel’s Beauty Shop until she retired.  She loved to read her bible, a good mystery, listening to the Grand Ole Opry and cooking great cornbread.  She was known for her kindness, wit and grace.  She was a true lady.

She was preceded in death by her husband E. C. “Cleve” Cleveland. 

Survivors include her children, Al Cleveland (Lou), Chipley, FL, James Cleveland (Donna), Bronwood, Teresa Paliwoda, Tallahassee, FL, grandchildren, Melanie Kiefer (Mike), Colby Cleveland (Melea), Josh Cleveland (Julie), Emily Phillips (Ryan), great grandchildren, Maddox Cleveland, Keaton Cleveland, Bailey Keifer, Landon Kiefer, Knox Hall, Eady Hall Fletcher Hall, Jackson Phillips, Ansleigh Cleveland, Samuel Cleveland and a sister Billie Cleveland. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 1:30 to 2:30 PM, Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Mathews Funeral Home.
