Harold Clifton Hudgins, 79, of Albany, GA passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 2, 2016 at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Saturday February 6, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Oak Grove Cemetery in Arlington, GA. Rev. Bob Prince will officiate.
Harold was born May 22, 1936 in Edison, GA, where he attended school and moved to Albany in 1956.
Mr. Hudgins was a self- employed building contractor for forty seven years. He built everywhere and enjoyed what he did. His oldest son joined the company and worked side by side with his dad. Harold always had a smile on his face and liked to kid around with everyone that crossed his path.
He was a loving person who always had a positive outlook on like. He loved people and would help anyone in need. He once pulled his shoes off in church to give to a man in need, when asked why he came home with stockings on his feet, he replied he had two pair and that man had none.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents Earl Carlton Hudgins and Mary Rabon Hudgins, six brothers John G. Hudgins, Thomas E. Hudgins, Billy E. Hudgins, Earl S. Hudgins, David Hudgins, Joe H. Hudgins, two sisters Mary France Hudgins Smith and Ruby Lee Hudgins Shiver.
Survivors include the love of his life which he met in 1962 Barbara A. Hudgins, two sons Harold C. Hudgins Jr. Russell Carlton Hudgins, two daughters Elizabeth Anne Hudgins Hall and Eugenia Annette Hudgins Carroll, three granddaughters Hannah Elizabeth Hall, Olivia Grace Carroll, and Madeline Isabel Carroll, adopted children Tiffany Roseanne Hudgins, Lisa L. Hudgins, Suzanne M. Hudgins, and Jennifer Hudgins Wright and her children, and many nieces and nephews
