Guy Wendall Jones

Guy Wendell Jones, 82, of Moultrie, GA formerly of Albany, GA, died January 2, 2018 at Colquitt Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bruce Smith will officiate. A native of Thomson, GA, Mr. Jones graduated from Thomson High School and joined the United States Navy and served during the Korean Conflict. He was employed with the General Motors South Gate, CA Plant as a painter until it closed and was transferred to Albany, GA Delco Remy Plant in 1980. Mr. Jones was a cancer survivor and a supporter of the Albany Humane Society. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Jones and a son Donald Wiley Jones. Survivors include his children, W. DeWayne Jones and his wife, Tami of Lee County, GA and David Jones and his wife, Renee of Cumming, GA, four grandchildren, Joshua Cranford, Keith Jones, Devon Jones and Dylan Jones and one great-grandchild, Skylar Cranford. The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral at Mathews Funeral Home.
