Guy George Everett, Jr.

Guy George Everett, Jr., 68, of Albany, GA died Friday, August 10, 2018 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Preston, GA. Rev. Jimmy Hagadorn will officiate.

Born in Americus, GA to the late Guy George Everett, Sr. and Annie T. Pinkard Everett, Guy was employed with Bridgestone-Firestone Distribution Center before retirement. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the Marine Corps and was a Purple Heart recipient. He was a lifetime member of the DAV and a member of the VFW Post 2785. He was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Sara R. Everett of Albany, two sons, Richard Guy Everett (Beth), Sylvester, GA, Glenn George Everett (Kim), Glen Burnie, MD, brother, George Everett, Centerville, GA, sister, Shirley Thomas (Robert), Rydal, GA, and five grandchildren, Hunter Everett, Grace Everett, Isabella Everett, Hayleigh Everett, and Reese Everett.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
