Grady W. Higgs, 95, of Lee Co., GA formerly of Albany, GA died Monday, April 17, 2017 at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 21, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Leesburg Cemetery. Rev. Charles Jones will officiate.
Born in Lennox, GA, Mr. Higgs had served in the Army and was a veteran of both WW II and the Korean War. He moved to Albany, GA in 1949 from Moultrie, GA. He was a master upholster and furniture builder and was a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Virginia Higgs, three sons, James Michael Higgs, Phillip Higgs, Art Brom, and two brothers, Charles Murray Higgs and Paul Higgs.
Survivors include two sons, Kevin G. Higgs, Lee Co., GA and James Hagood, Albany, GA, two daughters, Libby Hubbard and Paula Holland Lawrimore both of Myrtle Beach, SC, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
