Grace Huey Stokes

Grace Huey Stokes, 93, of Tifton, GA formerly of Albany, GA, died Friday, August 15, 2014 at Southern Care Assisted Living in Tifton, GA. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 3:00 p.m. at Crown Hill Mausoleum Chapel. Rev. Ronnie Kinsaul will officiate. Entombment will follow.

Born on October 15, 1920 in Pelham, GA, Mrs. Stokes had resided in Albany, GA since 1961 moving from Orlando, FL. She was retired civil service having worked at the marine base. She was a member of Raleigh White Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, Marion Columbus Huey and Zula Sellers Huey, her husband Herbert A. Stokes, a grandson, James Michael Dorminy, four brothers and a sister.

Survivors include a daughter , Karen Stokes Jones and Robert, Fitzgerald, GA, a granddaughter, Teresa Dorminy Hollingsworth and Bubba, Abbeville, GA, great-grandchildren, Hannah Wilson Walker and Jonathan, Abbeville, GA and Chad M. Wilson, Valdosta, GA and great-great-grandchildren, Rhett James Walker and John Cole Walker, Abbeville, GA

The family will receive friends Monday from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at Crown Hill Mausoleum Chapel.
