Grace L. Horne

Grace L. Horne, 94, of Albany, GA, died Monday, July 23, 2018 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Roy Cook and Rev. Chad Ellis will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Born in Pahokee, Fl., Mrs. Horne had resided in Albany, GA most all of her life. Before her retirement, Mrs. Horne was the bookkeeper for the family business, Tri-State Wholesale Florist and was a member of Gillionville Baptist Church and the Marshall Raughton Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rhoney J. Levins and Bennie Pitts Levins, her husband, J.K. Horne, Jr. and a granddaughter, Heather Joy Hall.

Survivors include a son, William (Bill) Alan Horne, Sr. and his wife, Jan, Marianna, FL, a daughter Charlayne H. Hall and her husband, David, Albany, GA, four grandchildren, David H. Hall. Jr. (Leigh), Debra Ann Hall, William Alan Horne, Jr, Kayla Horne Norton, (Tim) and three great-grandchildren, Jasper David Hall, Jack Irvin Hall and Magnolia Grace Norton.

Special caregivers for Mrs. Horne were Sherry Terrell, Rita Carter and Sandra Davis.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at Mathews Funeral Home.
