Grace West Cook, 104, of Tallahassee, Fl passed away, Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Graveside memorial services will be conducted Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Andersonville National Cemetery.

 

Born in Houston, Co., GA, Mrs. Cook had resided in Albany, GA since 1951 moving from Americus, GA and had resided in Tallahassee, FL for the past several years. She was a homemaker, she had served as Past Matron of Christian Court of Order of Ammaranth, a member of The Order of the Eastern Star- Crepe Myrtle Chapter # 163 and the Adult Joy Sunday School Class and a member of Sherwood Baptist Church.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Capus West, Sr. and Rebecca Lee Edmundson West, son Charles Colin Cook and husband, Charlie Carroll Cook, brothers, T. C. Wes, Jr., Leroy West, Joe B. West, Sr., sisters, Minnie West Hansard, Mattie Claude West Hill and Emmie B. West Christmas.

 

Survivors include her grandchildren, Tony Quesenberry of Virginia, Robert C. Cook of Florida, Christopher C. Cook of Utah, eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Elizabeth Jones, Pottsville, NC, surviving nieces, Margaret Hansard - Warren, Tallahassee, FL, Martha Woodard, Chapel Hill, NC, Sharon Durry, Pottsville, NC, Jane Petty, Covington, GA, Betty West Walling, Hawkinsville, GA.
