Grace Page Cheatham

Grace Page Cheatham, 80, of Albany, joined the Church Triumphant on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Willson Hospice House. In her last days, she was surrounded by family and friends, including especially her life-long friend Katherine Crawford. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Garrett Andrew and Rev. Dr. Thomas A. Cheatham will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cheatham was married to her high school sweetheart, Oscar F. Cheatham, Jr., for over 60 years. He preceded her in death in 2010. Their daughter Carol Ann Cheatham Walker passed away in 2008.

She is survived by her son Tom Cheatham (Susan) of Starkville, MS; her brother Bob Page of Biloxi, MS; her grandchildren Page and Ben Walker and their father David, all of Albany; numerous nieces and nephews; and friends and neighbors.

Memorials may be given to First Presbyterian Church, 209 4th Street South, Amory, MS 38821, for the purchase of bread for the Amory Food Pantry; or to Willson Hospice House, 320 Foundation Lane, Albany, GA 31707.
