Gordon (Buck) Hatcher

Gordon (Buck) Hatcher, 86, of Albany, GA, died Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Leesburg Cemetery. Dr. Ronald R. Baxley and Rev. Damon Fountain will officiate.

A native of Bainbridge, GA, born to Smiley and Ola Hatcher, he had resided in Albany, GA since 1966. Mr. Hatcher was a retired truck driver with Middle Georgia Transportation and was formerly employed with Aero Commander and was employed with M R & R Trucking for seventeen years.

Survivors include his children, Ronnie (Faye) Hatcher of Leslie, GA, Erwin (Kimmie) Hatcher of Albany, GA, Lamar (Denise) Hatcher and Glenn (Becky) Hatcher all of Leesburg, GA and Beverly Lightfoot of Lee County, GA, a sister, Faye White of Black Jack, GA, a brother, Otis Willis Hatcher of Atlanta, GA, ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death in 2011 by his wife, Virginia Vera Hatcher.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM Monday at Mathews Funeral Home.
