Goldie Hill Whitt

Goldie Hill Whitt, 95, of Albany, GA, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Archbold Memorial Hospital, Thomasville, GA. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. (CST) at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery, Sardis City, AL.
Born in Boaz, AL, Mrs. Whitt had resided in Sardis City, AL all of her life before moving to Albany in 2011. She was a homemaker and a member of Sardis Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tence C. Hill and Julia Mashburn Whitt and her husband, Eric Dewain Whitt.
Survivors include two daughters, Julia W. Griffin (Bill), Albany, GA, Gean Watford (Larry), Sardis City, AL, sister, Tennie Stephens, Gadsden, AL, three grandchildren, Dr. Patricia Mattson, Winter Haven, FL, Dr. John Watford, Ashville, NC, Ginger Watford Hayes, FL, two great-grandchildren, Walter Mattson and Aslyn Mattson both of Winter Haven, FL.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. (CST) until 8:00 p.m. (CST) at Etowah Memorial Chapel, 12600 Hwy 431 S., Sardis City, AL 35957.
