Gloria Robinson Scott, 74, of Lee County, GA died Monday, October 12, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be will be held Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Grady Morey will officiate. A private committal service will be held Friday at Leesburg Cemetery. Please observe social distancing and wear a mask. Born in Vero Beach, FL. On July15, 1946 to Thomas and Arcola Robinson, Gloria grew up in Lake Wells, FL and graduated from Lake Wells High School. She moved to Albany in 1965 and was employed with the Dawson Country Club for many years. She was also employed with Carr’s Steak House, Aunt Fannie’s Restaurant and the Elk’s Lodge. Gloria was currently employed with Finnicum Motor Sales as a Title Clerk and was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church. She enjoyed being around friends, yard sales and taking care of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Quenton Scott, Jr. on September 27, 2020, and a sister, Patricia Whitman. Survivors include her children, Donna (Lake) Summers, Worth County, GA, Kelly Stewart and Ashley (Mike) Wood all of Lee County, GA, three step-children, Penny McLendon of Columbus, GA, Dawn Carden, of Phoenix City, GA, GA and Kim Scott, Columbus, GA, her siblings, Sharon Bays and Linda Anderson both of Lee County, GA and Thomas (Elise) of Tarrant, AL, her grandchildren, Jon Summers of Lee County, GA, Courtney (Shawn) Connell of Worth County, GA, Cassidy Stewart, Tyler Stewart, Garrett Stewart and Easton Owens all of Lee County, GA. The family will receive family on Thursday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home.
