Gloria Dawn Mathis

Gloria Dawn Mathis, 84, of Albany, GA, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at her residence.  Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 10:00 am at Andersonville National Cemetery.  Rev. Anna Miller will officiate.  Mrs. Mathis will Lie in State at Mathews Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 8, 2020 from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm.

Mrs. Mathis was born March 21, 1937, in Montreal Canada, to the late Frank and Gladys Heathcote.   Mrs. Mathis was a member of First United Methodist Church of Albany. 

Mrs. Mathis was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Mathis, a daughter Teresa Lopez, and a grandson Michael Mathis.  Survivors include her daughter Patti Jarrett, Lisa Gann, and Melodie Freeman, grandchildren Kayla Stringfellow, Jamie Jarrett, Megan Jarrett, Mackinsey Gann, and great grandchildren Ireland Mathis and Gabby Stringfellow
